Introduction
What the leading experts (Science) are saying about addiction:
Addiction is a mental disorder which compels someone to repeatedly use substances or engage in behaviors even though they have harmful consequences. Addictions destroy marriages, friendships, and careers and threaten a person’s basic health and safety.
Though there may very well be some truth to this statement, that the root of the mental disorder takes place in the mind, the Bible confirms this: "As a man thinks, so he is".
However there is a much deeper problem that is spiritual in nature or unseen, that brings about a physical evidence in the body which everyone can see. You will not be able to achieve victory in this battle if you address it with a scientific solution.
You need something stronger to set you free. It would be like treating the illness with medicine to relieve the symptoms, rather than curing the illness itself that's creating the symptoms. In other words, our focus is on the wrong thing.
Satan operates in deception. He is a liar and the father of lies. His strategy is to get you to focus on the wrong thing so he can keep you prisoner. If the problem is ultimately in your mind, then you need to renew it by replacing what society and science are trying to feed you, and start listening to what God says about this. Click on the listen tab below to hear a short message that will explain this more clearly.

Getting Started: Follow the Steps Below
At The Start Of Each Day...
Set aside 30 mins. each day before you begin your day to start to cultivate your relationship with God. I encourage you to find a place where there won't be any interruptions or distractions so you can focus on connecting to God, asking Him for direction and guidance for the day ahead. Jesus was our example as you can see in the verse below.
Mark 1:35
35 Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed. Go back to the "Meeting with God" tab on the main menu for more insight on how this works.
Click on the "Daily Devotional" Tab and read the page content including the Bible verses.
Navigate back to the "Main Menu"
Click on "Learn" Tab at the bottom right of the screen (Lightning Bolt)
Click on "Memory Verses" Tab. Start with Memory Verse 1
Click on Listen and repeat it, This will help you to memorize God's word. Once you have this verse memorized, continue on to the next. It is important to have God's word in your heart, your mind, and in your mouth. This is part of the renewing of your mind which is crucial to bring about change in your life. The Bible says, "As a man thinks...so he is" you will act accordingly to how you think and see yourself. God will change this perception as He transforms you through His word, and as you spend more time in His presence but you need to know what it says.
Example: You are not a loser and will never amount to anything. The Bible says, "We are more than conquerors in Christ Jesus". "I can do All things through Christ that strengthens me". You need to have this arsenal in your heart so when the lying thoughts come, you can defeat them with God's word. "Taking captive every thought to the obedience of Christ"
