EXPERIENCING THE SPIRIT

                                THE SPIRIT IS SPEAKING… 

The late Scottish preacher Duncan Campbell wrote insightful words in his book The Price and Power of Revival: The baptism of the Holy Spirit in its final analysis is not manifestations, it is not gifts. The baptism of the Holy Spirit in its final analysis is the revelation of Jesus. “God revealed His Son in me.” What does this “revealing” look like? What should it look like? What could Christ do in us if we would let him? Are you trying to be like Christ, or are you allowing Christ to be Himself in you? Oh, that we might let Christ be revealed in us! If you desire for Christ to be revealed in your life, you must be immersed in the Holy Spirit. Take a few moments and consider what you've just read. Did your encounter with Christ also include being immersed in the Spirit? How did you respond? This relationship we talk about will be unfolded in greater detail throughout this book, but now is a good time to allow the Holy Spirit to begin His work. For if you want Christ, you must also receive the gift of His Spirit. Then may you say with all humility, “I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me” (Galatians 2:20).
