EXPERIENCING THE SPIRIT

                                           GOING WITH JESUS

In Acts 1:8, Jesus said, “You shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me.” We don't go out as witness for Him, but unto Him. He doesn't send us out on an assignment; we go with Him on His assignment. Jesus takes us with Him. So many people have a misguided belief that we're to go for Him, but in reality we go with Him into this world. Wherever Jesus takes you, you become the presence of Christ in that place, because His Spirit is in you. As you become witnesses unto Jesus, He's there to enable you to fulfill that assignment. Now listen to the last two verses found in the gospel of Mark: So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God. And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs. (16:19-20) Can you see it? The Lord was taken up to the right hand of God, and as the disciples took their assignment of sharing the gospel, He went with them. Through the Holy Spirit, He can be at the right hand of God in heaven and in the life of every believer at the same time.
