Created For Significance

PSALM 139:14
I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Your works, And my soul knows it very well.  All of us struggle with unique issues or challenges in our lives. But one of the dominating issues that plague many of us today is a lack of fulfillment. Jesus tells us in John 10:10, “I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.” An abundant life is not void, or empty. It is life as it was meant to be lived. It is full and satisfying. It is filled with meaning. The nagging inner emptiness that many people feel today reveals a lack of personal fulfillment. People often feel unfulfilled in their relationships, their careers, their spiritual lives, and in other ways.

A lack of fulfillment is tied to a lack of destiny. If you don’t know your destiny or are not working toward it or living it out, you will not feel fulfilled. You will not be able to tap into the most authentic, genuine part of who you are. Anytime you have to rely on artificial happiness, energy, enthusiasm, passion, vision, and so on, you are not tapping into the rawest part of you. Nothing can replace you being the way you were created to be. Nothing can measure up to true authentic living according to your very own unique destiny. Everything else may satisfy for a moment or at the surface level, but it will not satisfy you deeply and abundantly within your very core—where true fulfillment lives.

Jesus offers you the abundant life. But to have that life, you need to connect with the eternal purpose He has for you. In Him and His will, you will discover true and lasting fulfillment. A person should never truly be satisfied with what the world deems as success because success can never bring you significance. Fulfilling your destiny answers your deep, God-given need for significance. Live your destiny, and you will live a life of great significance.

Thank You, God, that You made me on purpose for a purpose. Thank You that I am not a random happening or chance occurrence. You have created me for a life of significance.
