God’s Loudspeaker
ISAIAH 51:16
I have put My words in your mouth and have covered you with the shadow of My hand, to establish the heavens, to found the earth, and to say to Zion, “You are My people.”
We are surrounded by radio waves. But without a radio, those waves don’t do us a whole lot of good. The waves transport the signal, but we cannot sense their presence. We don’t realize they are all around us—until something transforms them into sound waves. When that happens, we can suddenly hear what was there all along but we couldn’t sense. Our ears aren’t designed to hear radio waves. We don’t pick up that signal.
The radio, however, has been designed to receive that signal and project the sound—talk shows, music, news, and so on. The radio helps us to take in what we otherwise would never hear. So it is with our bodies. God designed our bodies to be vehicles through which He expresses His kingdom program for us and for the world. To put it another way, our humanity is God’s conduit, God’s loudspeaker for achieving His goal. You are God’s mouthpiece—a reflection of His own glory and intention on earth.
Never take that lightly. You have been tasked with a great destiny: to communicate to the world the heart of God Himself. We each have our own part to play in this grand broadcast, and when we come together under God, we are able to make our voices heard to an even greater extent. Remember, your purpose is not only about you. The Lord has given each of us a purpose, and when our purposes intersect, they carry out His plan for our good, for His glory, and for the advancement of His kingdom on earth. I am your mouthpiece,
Lord. I have been given the awesome privilege to declare Your goodness to those around me. Where there is anger, let me communicate Your love. Where there is confusion, let me bring Your clarity. Where there is doubt, let me demonstrate faith. Where there is fear, let me be a conduit of Your peace.
